Brooklyn Park police arrest 1, detain 7 in early morning warrant

A high-risk search warrant in Brooklyn Park Wednesday morning led to one arrest and the detention of several people.

According to the Brooklyn Police Department, around 5:35 a.m., the Tactical Response Unit served the warrant in the 5300 block of 81st Avenue North.

Police said the warrant was requested by Brooklyn Park detectives as part of an ongoing investigation.

During the warrant, police arrested one man and detained seven people. Police did not release the names of those individuals.

Police said the SWAT team cleared the home before turning the detained people and the residence over to investigators at the scene.
