Newly unsealed search warrants show investigators traced extensive gunfire through Shoreline Plaza after a mass shooting last week.

A Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) evidence log filed with search warrants details what investigators collected in the hours after the shooting. 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS reviewed the records.

105 evidence items logged

Investigators found four cartridge casings, several bullet fragments, a bloodstain and personal items on the walkway to Shoreline Plaza, where they allege Carlton Johnson II, 35, shot a woman during a custody exchange. The items collected included a pink stuffed animal known as a Squishmallow.

In the entryway, investigators found at least a dozen more bullet casings and fragments. More evidence was found throughout the first-floor lobby and leasing office, where two building workers were shot.
