Anonymous threat prompts evacuation of Lakeville South High School

Students are evacuating Lakeville South High School as police investigate an anonymous threat was sent to the school Tuesday morning.

According to the Lakeville Police Department, there have been no known injuries or acts of violence stemming from the threat.

A parent told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS a lockdown notification first went out just after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday before police began to evacuate the school room by room.

Police are asking people to avoid the area while they investigate the threat and said further instructions for students, parents and staff will come directly from Lakeville Area Schools.
