Albert Lea High School closed Monday after apparent senior prank vandalism

An apparent senior prank at Albert Lea High School has forced school officials to cancel classes on Monday after slippery substances were found inside and outside the building.

About two dozen students may have been involved in the vandalism that included eggs, toilet paper, paintballs, soap, baby oil and other slippery substances on surfaces, including door handles, school officials told KAAL-TV.

Police that were patrolling the area noticed that school door appeared to have been propped open and school officials said it appears those involved might’ve had a key to access the building.

School officials expect classes to resume at Albert Lea High School on Tuesday.

This week is homecoming for Albert Lea.
