‘Affordability investigation’ underway, with goal of lowering energy bills

On the heels of major pushback on increasing energy rates, the agency behind that hike is launching an effort to better understand the financial challenges facing ratepayers. 

Calling it an affordability investigation, the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) is leading the way with help from the Regulatory Assistance Project (RAP) to eventually share a report to the legislature with recommendations on how to address the issue.
