Good Tuesday night to one and all!

Once again, storms largely missed the Twin Cities metro this evening, with the more impactful activity staying across northeastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

For the metro, we’re settling back into a quieter pattern tonight with partly cloudy skies and seasonable temperatures. Lows fall into the mid-60s.

Wednesday looks calm and seasonable, with partly cloudy skies and highs near 81 degrees.

Then comes Thursday, Day 1 of the Minnesota State Fair, and the forecast looks fantastic. Expect mostly sunny skies, comfortable air, and highs in the low 80s. It is hard to ask for a much better start to one of Minnesota’s biggest traditions.

Friday also looks good during the day, with partly cloudy skies and highs in the low 80s. A chance of thunderstorms returns Friday night.

The weekend is still the main thing we’re watching for fairgoers. Saturday...
