Police say three people were wounded in two separate shootings Saturday night and Sunday morning in Minneapolis.

The first shooting happened around 9:38 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of 18th Avenue South and 24th Street East.

According to Minneapolis police, two women — one in her 20s and another in her 50s — were outside when a man fired multiple gunshots at them. The suspect left the scene before officers arrived.

The women were both taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Seven hours later, at 4:40 a.m. Sunday, police responded to a report of gunfire and multiple cars driving away from a house on the 3300 block of 38th Avenue South.

Officers found evidence of gunfire inside and outside a home that was being rented out as an Airbnb.
