A woman in her 40s was seriously hurt Sunday morning after a stabbing in Meeker County.
County officials say deputies were called to a home in Grove City on the 800 block of Maple Lane around 9:25 a.m. on a report that a 44-year-old woman had been stabbed in the chest.
Law enforcement says family members gave medical aid to the woman while also detaining the suspect, adding that the two knew each other and apparently were involved in a disagreement.
The woman was brought to a local hospital before being airlifted to HCMC. However, she is expected to survive, county officials said.
Mitchell Lokken, 23, of Grove City, was arrested in connection with the stabbing. At the time of this publication, Lokken has not been charged.
