A woman has died after being struck by an SUV on I-94 just after midnight on Thursday morning, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Investigators say the 26-year-old victim was in the center lane under the 7th St. bridge when she was hit by a 2016 Lincoln MKX that was travelling westbound.
5 EYEWITNESS NEWS is working to learn why the woman was in the middle of the freeway at the time of the crash.
An investigation is ongoing.
