With every knot a group of women get closer to each other and their community

NORTHFIELD, Minn. — As the Northfield Latino and Hispanic community continues to grow, so does a new club. 

“It’s amazing. The friendship that is being created among people of many different countries that some of us didn’t know each other, so we’re becoming fast friends,” said Mar Valdecantos with Mercado Local.

Mercado Local is a store in Northfield where more than 20 Latino and Hispanic artists and entrepreneurs sell their goods. In the back, there’s a community gathering space.
