Watch: WNBA star Paige Bueckers returns to hometown St. Louis Park to unveil refurbished basketball court

Dallas Wings star guard Paige Bueckers stayed in town on Monday after playing the Lynx at Target Center on Sunday. She did so to help unveil a refurbished basketball court in her hometown of St. Louis Park.

KSTP was there Monday morning at Blackstone Park to witness the celebration.

The surprise was part of Gatorade’s ‘Day of Play’ event, which Monday was focused on inspiring future female athletes.

Bueckers took part in a Q&A and helped lead skill drills on the new court.

The former Hopkins high school star and WNBA All-Star had 23 points and eight assists for Dallas in Sunday’s loss.
