Wentz, through 13 training camp practices, has received limited work. That happens when, at least for now, you’re designated as the No. 3 QB. He told KSTP Sports that it’s a different situation, but one that he understands and can embrace.
Both Kyler Murray and J.J. McCarthy will play on Saturday, head coach O’Connell said. McCarthy will be the second stringer, followed by Wentz, who started five games last season while McCarthy was injured. Max Brosmer, who made two starts, is the other quarterback in camp.
Wentz, 33, re-signed on a 1-year deal in March.
