Former Gophers star wide receiver Rashod Bateman is back in town this week, spending his 6th-year with the Baltimore Ravens. The Vikings held practices vs. the Ravens Wednesday and Thursday in Eagan, and will play them on Saturday in a preseason game at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Our Darren ‘Doogie’ Wolfson caught up with Bateman after Thursday’s practice at TCO Performance Center. It’s clear how much Minnesota means to Bateman.

In 2024, Bateman totaled a career-high 756 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.
Bateman was Baltimore’s 1st round pick in 2021.
Bateman caught 60 passes for 1,219 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2019 for the Gophers, earning first-team All-Big Ten honors. Minnesota won 11 games, including the Outback Bowl, that season.
