A Minneapolis-based healthcare company plans to lay off over 100 people this fall after losing support work tied to state Medicaid contracts.
In a notice filed on Wednesday with the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, UCare said 102 employees will be laid off after Medica acquired certain UCare state contracts. The layoffs come after UCare announced last year a new deal where 300,000 people will transition to Medica.
