Trick-or-treating trending better, but heavy rain could arrive soon – Chris

Good Friday night, and Happy Halloween weekend to one and all!

First, the good news for Halloween: most of Saturday evening is looking fairly manageable for trick-or-treating.

A few showers are possible early Saturday, but the better rain chances should fade as the day goes on. By evening, most areas should be mainly dry, though a spotty shower can’t be completely ruled out. Temperatures will be mild for late October, so overall, trick-or-treating conditions look pretty decent.

Sunday looks even better, with partly cloudy skies and very mild temperatures. Highs could climb into the upper 60s.

Then our attention quickly turns to early next week.

A much more significant weather system is expected to arrive Monday, bringing widespread heavy rain. Rain chances are around 90%, and periods of steady to heavy rain could continue into Tuesday.
