DOVER, Ind. — A 41-year-old Indiana farmer is facing charges after allegedly shooting a crop duster that was flying over his property in July 2025.

The Boone County Sheriff's Office began its investigation July 18, 2025, after a report from a pilot, who was contracted to perform aerial spraying, that someone shot the plane they were flying over the 1600 block of 900 West, in the area of State Roads 32 and 75, in Boone County.
