The University of North Carolina said Steve Belichick has resigned from his position, effective Oct. 27, following the end of his medical leave.
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Steve Belichick, son of former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick and the current University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill football's head coach, has resigned as the team's defensive coordinator, according to the university.
UNC released a statement Thursday morning, Sept. 17, in which the Division I school said it concluded its "thorough and independent investigation into allegations related to culture and climate within the Carolina football program."
