St. Paul encampment grows as colder weather raises concern

A growing homeless encampment in St. Paul is raising safety concerns as colder weather approaches.

People living at the nearby Waterford Bay Apartments on Randolph Avenue said the encampment has grown after the Pig’s Eye Park encampment was cleared in August. 

One volunteer told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS that 200 people live there.

“It’s always been a really welcoming and positive community over here,” Senia Sinnink, an apartment resident, said.

Residents said they have seen more problems near the apartment complex in recent weeks.
