St. Cloud boy, 11, stabs 18-year-old at local business

An 11-year-old boy stabbed an 18-year-old multiple times in the vestibule of a local St. Cloud business on Tuesday evening, according to police.

Investigators say the victim and other people inside the business were able subdue the suspect until officers arrived.

The teen was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with significant but non-life-threatening injuries and the 11-year-old suspect was arrested. Police say that the victim and the suspect did not know each other and it is currently unknown what led up to the stabbing.

After the arrest, investigators carried out a search warrant at the St. Cloud address connected to the suspect.

The stabbing happened near Cooper Avenue South at around 5:09 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police have not identified the suspect or the victim in this case.

An investigation is ongoing and police did not mention any charges.
