“Everyone was exactly where they should have been that day,” said Southwest flight attendant Nina Castro. “It’s a miracle.”
DALLAS — With 25 years of takeoffs and landings under her belt, most of Nina Castro’s flights these days are rather forgettable.
But the Wednesday, July 29 trip from Omaha to Phoenix was the most memorable of her career.
“We just kicked into action that day,” Castro said. “We did our job.”
The passenger in Row 4 of Southwest Airlines Flight 4835 made an early impression.
“He was talking to us about Herb Kelleher, our founder, and Rollin King, who were the very beginning of Southwest Airlines. And he really knew his history,” Castro said.
