Social Security Administration adds 14 conditions to fast-track disabilities list

WASHINGTON — The Social Security Administration added more than a dozen medical conditions to its fast-track disability list, which can help speed up the process of receiving benefits for some people. 

The federal agency announced on Tuesday that 14 conditions will be added to its Compassionate Allowances list. The program expedites claims for people with severe or life-threatening conditions that clearly meet Social Security's standards for disability benefits.
