Smashed vehicle window numbers keep rising in Minneapolis

Car window vandalism continues across parts of northeast Minneapolis as police work to count the growing number of smashed windows.

Minneapolis police told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS they are still calculating how many cars have been hit after the damage continued through the weekend and into Monday morning.

Minneapolis police said at least 87 windows were smashed in Friday’s overnight spree. 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS crews found at least 10 more damaged vehicles on Saturday and saw more broken windows early Monday morning on Marshall Street.
