Shelter-in-place issued near McAndrews Road in Burnsville following shooting

A shelter-in-place order was issued Tuesday evening in Burnsville for a shooting that injured one person.

According to the Burnsville Police Department, the shooting was reported at 7 p.m. in the 1700 block of McAndrews Road West.

Details on what led up to the shooting have not been confirmed at this time, but Burnsville police said one person was struck by gunfire and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

A shelter-in-place order has been issued and residents are asked to avoid the area.
