AUSTIN, Minn. (FOX 9) - Residents in part of Austin are being told to shelter-in-place Monday as law enforcement respond to an active situation.

What we know:
The Austin Police Department said officers are responding to a situation involving a gun.
Authorities have issued a shelter-in-place order for the area between 9th Avenue Southeast and 13th Avenue Southeast while officers search for a suspect.
The Mower County Sheriff's Office also urged anyone who lives in or knows someone in the area to shelter-in-place, saying law enforcement is present in the area.
What we don't know:
Police have not released details about what led to the incident, or how long the shelter-in-place order will last.
