A western Minnesota teen was airlifted to the hospital after a crash involved a semi-truck on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators say that semi driver was heading west on 240th Avenue NE and slowed down to turn right into a driveway. That’s when the sheriff’s office says the 17-year-old boy hit the semi while it was turning.
First responders say the teen was battling serious injuries. The semi driver was not injured.
CentraCare Ambulance, New London Ambulance, New London Fire Department, Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad and the Minnesota State Patrol helped at the scene.
