A greenhouse lettuce grower company plans to lay off nearly 90 employees in Minnesota if it is not sold or funded by this fall.
In a notice filed on Thursday with the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), Revol Greens will lay off about 89 people as its Medford facility may permanently close.
The notice said Revol Greens will have to sell the company or secure funding by Oct. 4. If not, employees will be laid off on that date. The notice said a union does not represent employees.
According to Revol Greens’ website, the company opened in 2017 with its first greenhouse in Minnesota. Revol Greens also has a second location in Temple, Texas.
