Rain has started falling in western MN this morning and will be making its way into the metro by early afternoon.
MINNEAPOLIS — A Weather Impact Alert has been issued for Tuesday afternoon with light to moderate showers expected.
Showers are moving across the state from west to east, prompting a Weather Impact Alert from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Rain started falling in western Minnesota this morning and will be making its way into the metro by early afternoon.
Rainfall amounts will generally fall between 0.25-0.40" across the metro. Higher amounts will occur in the southeastern and northwestern parts of the state.
An even wetter system will target Iowa, Wisconsin, and Michigan on Wednesday and Thursday, but we should mainly be on the northern edge and miss out on significant rainfall.
