Public safety alert issued in Isanti after reports of gunfire

Police in Isanti are urging caution Wednesday afternoon as they respond to a report of gunfire from inside a home.

The Isanti County Sheriff’s Office said the active incident on the 800 block of Cedar Street Southwest “may be an immediate life threatening situation.”

It was not immediately clear whether anyone was hurt or how many suspects were involved.

Residents are asked to stay indoors and keep clear of the area until law enforcement resolves the situation.
