Artificial intelligence has made it easier for criminals to design convincing scams and spread them faster than ever before.

Because your money matters, we’re looking at ways you can protect your money from AI scams.

David Bell, Twin Cities cybersecurity expert and president of Cyber Solutions in Falcon Heights, says there are three things to watch out for so you don’t get scammed. 

“Number one urgency,” Bell said. ” When they’re looking for some sort of urgency, that’s kind of a red flag. Slow down and make sure this is a legitimate email or phone call. The second one is money. If it’s monetary, you should absolutely slow down because that can be a red flag as well. The third one is credentials. If they’re asking for usernames and passwords, evaluate what you’re about to share.”
