President Donald Trump endorsed Michele Tafoya in her bid for Minnesota’s U.S. Senate seat during a rally in Youngstown, Ohio, on Monday night.

The nomination comes just weeks before Minnesotans will decide between the former sports broadcaster and Democrat Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan.

During his endorsement of Tafoya, Trump also questioned the integrity of Minnesota elections.

“You have to vote for Michele Tafoya, who’s a very respected person. While we’re at it, I should say it. She’s very respected. It’s hard to win because they cheat on their elections too. You know, I thought I won Minnesota three times,” Trump said.
