The district presented three options for plans that could close up to 16 schools as early as next year.
MINNEAPOLIS — Parents packed Camden High School in Minneapolis on Wednesday evening, where district leaders hosted their first listening session two weeks after announcing a proposal to close more than a dozen schools.
Many of the concerns centered around the impact those closures will have on communities and how quickly the plan may take effect.
"You never want to hear about schools in the district you went to closing," said Anndrea Young, who leads the Heritage Park Neighborhood Association in the north part of town.
The district's plan includes closing three schools there where several others have already long been closed.
