ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Minn. — One person was found dead after several propane tanks reportedly exploded Monday afternoon in northern Minnesota.
The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office responded to the area of East Pioneer Road and Pioneer Junction Road in Normanna Township (about 18 miles northeast of Duluth) just before 2 p.m. following reports of a home on fire. In a press release, the sheriff's office said someone called 911 after hearing several propane tanks explode and finding an active fire at their neighbor's home. Fire crews found multiple outbuildings fully engulfed in flames.
