Officials to discuss Jessi Pierce fire investigation

Minnesota fire safety officials are holding a news conference Thursday to announce the preliminary findings of an investigation into a March fire that killed longtime Minnesota hockey reporter Jessi Pierce and her three children in White Bear Lake.

That news conference — including State Fire Marshal Dan Krier, Chief Deputy State Fire Marshal Amanda Swenson and White Bear Lake Fire Chief Greg Peterson — is scheduled for 11 a.m.

Pierce — who also went by Jessi Hinrichs — and her children Hudson, Cayden and Avery, ages 8, 6 and 4, died in the March 21 fire. Pierce’s husband was out of town on business at the time of the fire.
