New York Times executive found shot dead in California park, in-laws suspected of murder, police say

DUBLIN, California — An executive with The New York Times was found fatally shot at a popular park in California on Saturday, according to police. His wife's parents are suspected in his death.

A Dublin, California, police sergeant was driving near the Dublin Sports Grounds in the San Francisco Bay Area when he saw a man lying on the ground in the parking lot, police said in a news release. While the sergeant was investigating, dispatchers began receiving multiple 911 calls about the incident.
