New York Road Runners: Liz’s fundraising page

I am excited to be running the NYC Marathon for the third time, and this year, I hope to bring awareness to BIANYS. My dad died from complications related to a brain aneurysm. Although not exactly the same as a brain injury, he suffered from deficits like those seen with brain injuries. This greatly impacted my family so running to support BIANYS is personal. Also, as an occupational therapist who sometimes works with patients who have experienced a TBI, I have seen the difficulties patients and families face while trying to recover from these injuries. 

I hope to raise money in memory of my dad and to increase awareness and support for this cause.
