Jeena Gurung Vomhof is originally from Nepal and said two of her family members are missing after catastrophic flooding in her home country.
FALCON HEIGHTS, Minnesota — While Jeena Gurung Vomhof was getting ready for her third year as a Minnesota State Fair vendor, catastrophic flooding was hitting her home country.
"Just one day before the State Fair, my country, Nepal, has gone through so much," Gurung Vomhof said. "Being able to stand here is hard. But at the same time it's motivating because if I work hard, I can give more and serve more."
More than 900 people across Nepal and Tibet are dead from the flash floods and the Nepal National Disaster Management Authority said more than 4,000 are still missing.
