MPS is sharing more details Friday on its plan to close at least 14 schools

Minneapolis Public Schools will share more Friday on proposed plans to close more than a dozen schools after community feedback on its major transformation plan.

On Sept. 15, district leaders unveiled three proposals that would close at least 14 schools. School board leaders cited declining enrollment and a nearly $40 million budget gap as reasons for taking action on the restructuring plans.
