WASHINGTON — About 21,380 NEWDERY power banks have been recalled after the company received nine reports of the devices exploding or igniting, including one fire that caused $2 million in property damage and one burn injury, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced.
The recall covers NEWDERY power banks with model number ZHX-PB22, which are black with yellow cables. The brand name “NEWDERY” is engraved on the front and the model number is printed on the back. The power banks were sold exclusively on Amazon.com between October 2023 and November 2024 for between $27 and $50.
