More than 112,000 acetaminophen bottles sold on Amazon recalled

WASHINGTON — More than 112,000 bottles of Extra Strength acetaminophen sold on Amazon are under recall nationwide, according to a recall notice posted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. 

The FDA enforcement report said the Amazon-brand 500-milligram acetaminophen caplets are under recall after reports of discolored tablets found in consumers' bottles. Aurobindo Pharma USA Inc. initiated a voluntary recall on Sept. 18 

The pills were sold under Amazon's private label.
