EAGAN, Minn. — The Minnesota Vikings will be without running back Jordan Mason for at least four games after placing him on injured reserve Wednesday with a thumb injury.
Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell confirmed the move during a press conference Wednesday, saying Mason fractured his thumb Sunday against Green Bay. DeeJay Dallas, who played a handful of offensive snaps on Sunday, signed from the practice squad, and Jerome Ford was added to the practice squad, the team said Wednesday.

Dallas was elevated from the practice squad ahead of the season opener and delivered a punishing block to help Myles Price break free for a 68-yard kick return. The return sparked the 29-0 run the Vikings went on to close out their 39-22 comeback victory.
Aaron Jones Sr. will likely handle the majority of the workload Sunday on the road against Chicago, but Dallas, Ford or rookie Demond Claiborne could also see the field. Against the Packers, Jones ran the ball 12 times for 40 yards and a touchdown.
