MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Timberwolves are on the hunt for their first NBA title with an exciting roster of talent for the upcoming 2026-27 season, and you’ll be able to follow along throughout the season on KARE 11.

“Sports bring communities together,” said Doug Wieder, president and general manager of KARE 11.

“With all 15 games airing free on KARE 11, we’re giving Timberwolves fans across the region unprecedented access to the team they love. This is exactly the kind of partnership that strengthens our connection to the audiences we serve.”

The Timberwolves are partnering with KARE 11 for the third consecutive season as the free broadcast television home for Wolves basketball. This season’s schedule is the largest yet, with 15 games produced by the Wolves’ new streaming partner, DAZN. The games will also be available to watch for free via the DAZN app.

“We’re excited to enter the third year of our over-the-air partnership with KARE 11 and bring fans 15 free over-the-air Timberwolves games this season, providing a significant increase in free access to Timberwolves basketball,” said Timberwolves and Lynx CEO Matt Caldwell.

“Expanding access to Timberwolves basketball is a key priority, and we know our fans value having more opportunities to watch their team for free. This schedule reflects our commitment to making Timberwolves basketball more accessible to fans throughout the region.”

The KARE 11 simulcasts will feature DAZN’s full game production, including “play-by-play” and color commentary from the newly announced Timberwolves talent roster, including Kevin Calabro and Jon “Boog” Sciambi, Michael Grady, Alan Horton, Jim Petersen, Meghan McPeak, Marney Gellner, Rebekkah Brunson and Parker Fox.

The KARE 11 Sports team will also have additional coverage and analysis with Timberwolves Extra pregame and postgame shows in tandem with many of the scheduled telecasts.

“Timberwolves fans want simple, flexible ways to follow their team, and this partnership helps deliver exactly that,” said Shay Segev, CEO of DAZN Group.

“By making 15 games available free-to-view, we're expanding access to Wolves basketball while bringing fans a modern streaming experience built around convenience, quality and choice. We’ll be connecting even more basketball fans with the Timberwolves throughout the season.”

KARE 11 will also broadcast eight games previously announced by NBC, bringing the total number of games available to fans on KARE 11 to 23.
