MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison has sued Texas Governor Greg Abbott to extradite the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent arrested on charges connected to Operation Metro Surge.

Christian Castro faces four counts of assault and one count of falsely reporting a crime in Minnesota after prosecutors formally accused Castro of shooting Julio Sosa-Celis in the leg, while also firing into a residence during an incident on Jan. 14 in Minneapolis. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) claimed that Castro fired in self-defense, but evidence later rebuked Castro's account.
