Minneapolis parents face uncertainty after school unveils plan to close schools

MINNEAPOLIS — Families across Minneapolis woke up with uncertainty Wednesday morning, after the Minneapolis Public Schools presented three options for plans that could close more than a dozen schools as early as next year.

The school board has not made any final decision. However, with a vote likely to happen in November, parents are now scrambling to make sense of a proposal that could impact thousands of students in the Minneapolis Public Schools.
