Messi shares emotional tribute in first post since father's death, hints at retirement

WASHINGTON — Argentina's Lionel Messi shared an emotional tribute to his father, Jorge, who died last week in Rosario, Argentina, after a long illness. He was 68. 

Messi penned a long message in an Instagram post about his relationship with his father and how it inspired a "last World Cup" run. In his message, the Argentine soccer great hinted at retirement.
