WASHINGTON — Mary Rivera, who was "very proud" of her casting in the Marvel blockbuster "Spider-Man: No Way Home," has died at age 82.

Rivera, who played Ned's Filipino grandmother in the third installment of Tom Holland's "Spider-Man," died on April 15 in Honolulu. A family member told TMZ that she had suffered a stroke and the family made the decision to remove her from life support.

According to her obituary, Rivera was born June 2, 1943, in Iloilo, Philippines, and was a retired missionary.
