The ribbons are being handed out, but one familiar name is missing.
For decades, Marjorie Johnson was nearly synonymous with baking at the Minnesota State Fair. The beloved “Blue Ribbon Baker” died in October 2025 at age 106, leaving behind thousands of ribbons, generations of bakers inspired by her and a family determined to keep her legacy alive.
