A man is suffering from serious injuries after a shooting in downtown Minneapolis on Sunday.
Just before 11:30 a.m., Minneapolis police officers responded to Seventh Street South and Nicollet Mall on a reported shooting. 911 callers said there were multiple gunshots and that a man was on the ground.
When police arrived, they found a man with several suspected gunshot wounds, who was brought to the hospital in critical condition.
With the help of Metro Transit police, Minneapolis police found a suspect and arrested him. He is being held at the Hennepin County Jail for second-degree assault and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
