A St. Paul man who pleaded guilty to killing the mother of his child will spend 40 years behind bars for his crime.
Joseph Davis, 36, pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree murder with intent. Five other charges were dismissed as part of the plea.
On Monday, a Ramsey County judge sentenced Davis to 480 months in prison, the maximum sentence allowed, with credit for 514 days served.
As previously reported, Davis was arrested for killing 33-year-old Christine Morris in May of 2025. Davis allegedly admitted to the crime to a family member.
