A 28-year-old man was sentenced to 40 years in prison on Monday for the murder of a 19-year-old man in 2025.
Seneca Lee Jones was sentenced to 480 months in jail, with credit for 320 days already served, according to the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office.
Jones was found guilty in August following a two-week trial. He was taken into custody in November of 2025 after a nationwide warrant was issued for his arrest.

He was charged via complaint warrant back in July of 2025, and a judge unsealed the case later that year as authorities continued to search for the defendant.
