Man killed in Wisconsin hit-and-run

The man has since been identified as 67-year-old Brian Martell from Hudson.

HUDSON, Wis. — A Wisconsin woman has been charged with driving while intoxicated and a hit-and-run involving death after a man was found deceased on a roadway. 

The St. Croix County Emergency Communication Center was called about the man in the roadway on the 500 block of CTH North in Hudson Township after 4 a.m. on Oct. 4.

The person appeared to have been struck by a vehicle, according to the release from the St. Croix County Sheriff's Office. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The man has since been identified as 67-year-old Brian Martell from Hudson. 

Deputies used vehicle evidence left at the scene to arrest 20-year-old Angelica Altena of New Richmond.
